On Saturday, September 28th, 2002, Showtime Entertainment donated time and provided discounted service for the American Lung Association's annual Blow The Whistle on Asthma walk fund-raiser.  We played music before, during and after the walk to motivate walkers, while they walked to fulfill their pledge for the American Lung Association.  More than 1,400 walkers participated in asthma walks across Illinois and Iowa during August and September, raising $158,000.  These funds will be used to find a cure for asthma and help those afflicted with this disease through research, education and advocacy.

On Saturday, October 4th, 2003, Showtime Entertainment again donated time and provided discounted service for the ALA.

Rick was very helpful our first year in being able to provide the service on such a short notice, I knew we could continue to rely on him for this year.  He provided an excellent service and was very willing to help out in other areas of the event as well.  The music was acceptable for all ages and Rick did a great job at finding music to fit each situation at the event (demonstrations, start line, etc.)  I felt that the sound was great for an outdoor event and we had positive feedback from participants that they could hear the music while they were on the walking trail.  The price was definitely affordable, especially with a fund raising event, we are always trying to keep services at a little or no cost.  Thank you for your willingness to work with non-profit associations trying to reach out to their communities.  Excellent.  Dear Rick, Thank you very much for joining the American Lung Association for our second annual "Blow the Whistle on Asthma" walk.  Everyone enjoyed the entertainment during the walk and are looking forward to next year.  As soon as we have a date finalized, I will be in contact with you.  --  Jodi Moyer - American Lung Association [10/4/03]
